BDSMPact is a reference site for adults exploring BDSM. The goal is the same one a good library has: give people accurate information they can look up, return to, and use to make their own decisions.
The site is consent-first and harm-reduction-minded. Every essay and guide assumes the reader is an adult practicing or considering practice with other consenting adults. We don't celebrate or condemn — we describe what's done, how it's done well, and what tends to go wrong.
Editorial stance
We try to write the version of each topic we'd have wanted as a beginner: short on lifestyle posturing, long on the specifics that actually matter. Negotiation. Aftercare. Body mechanics. What a working dynamic looks like when nobody is watching. The community has been figuring this out for decades and we're standing on that work.
See editorial standards for the principles that govern what we publish, what we update, and what we won't write.
Sources
Where claims rely on outside data — medical, psychological, or community-historical — we cite the source inline and collect references at the bottom of the article. We name studies when we cite them. We don't attribute opinions to vague "experts."
Who runs this
BDSMPact is independently published. There are no advertisers, no sponsored posts, no affiliate links on the site. The free tools (quiz, kink list, glossary) stay free.
